DESCRIPTION

The D1-25 Step Attenuator is a reference attenuator designed for testing and verification of measurement instrumentation in manufacturing environment.

The Instrument’s principle of operation is based on dividing dc and ac voltages by a precision resistor system, having low reactivity and high stability.

The D1-25 Step Attenuator provides 0 to 110 dB attenuation in 10-dB steps in 0–100 MHz operating frequency range.

The Instrument consists of a housing with attenuation sections and a switch with an indicator.

The coaxial input and output connectors are located in the housing, as well as additional «40 dB» and «80 dB» connectors for the Instrument’s verification.

Basic differential attenuation error relative to zero mark at dc: ±(0.002 + 0.0002А) dB, where A is a differential attenuation

Permissible basic accuracy range in 0 to 30 MHz range:

±(0.004+a·f2) dB – for 10 dB differential attenuation relative to zero mark;

±(0.002+0.0002·А10+b·А10·f2) dB – for any differential attenuation value А10 dB, where a=0.0004 dB/MHz2, b=1·10–5 MHz–2, f – frequency in MHz.

Permissible basic accuracy of differential attenuation in 30 MHz to 100 MHz frequency range:

±(0.004+c·f), dB – for 10 dB differential attenuation relative to zero mark;

±(0.002+0.0002·А10+d·А10·f), dB – for any differential attenuation value А10, dB, relative to 10 dB mark, where c=0.012 dB/MHz, d=0.0003 MHz–1, f – frequency in MHz

DC input resistance: not more than 50±0.1 Ohm

DC output resistance (at any attenuation switch position into 50±0,1 Ohm load connected to the input): not more than 25±0.1 Ohm

Maximal dc or ac voltage applied to the input: not more than 3V

MTBF: not less than 30000 hours

Number of switching cycles from 0 to 110 dB: not less than 30 000
